Track and Training Days
While most car insurance policies do not cover track events, we can arrange a car insurance solution that includes track day cover as one of a number of special benefits available.  Track and training days are able to be covered for all Platinum Euro policy holders subject to our prior approval at least one week before each event.

These include driver training days (or track days), which are often held at familiar tracks like Pukekohe, Hampton Downs or the Taupo Motorsport Park, are currently undertaken by Continental Car Services, the Porsche Club, the Porsche Association of New Zealand, BMW, Downforce Driver Training, and Track Time (Mike Eady).

Do ask if another Track Day, as approval may be possible.

At the sole discretion of Platinum Auto Insurance and the insurance company, cover may be extended to include driver training days (track days).

To activate this extension Platinum Auto Insurance must be notified a week prior to your attendance at each and every event.  Failure to provide such notification and gain approval will invalidate this cover, (there is no cover for track days unless you receive express approval from Platinum Auto Insurance).

If track day cover is provided it is only for the pre-approved events.

This extension applies only to the vehicle owner and the qualified driving instructor running the training (both of whom must be over 25 years of age). AT NO EXTRA COST
Please note that there is no extra cost involved for Platinum Euro policy holders to attend Track and Training Days. There will be a higher excess, than the excess stated in your policy. This will be confirmed to you when you seek approval to attend a Track or Training Day, but your premium will stay the same under this extension to your policy.

For Platinum Signature and Platinum Lite policy holders Track and Training Days can be covered for additional premium on request, if required.
